Taking advantage of those tools

The project of having a ‘Red Literaria Peruana’ (RELIT) Page on Facebook was assumed as an experiment of how interaction was possible to have with this new platform. Blogs can be static for days, but in Facebook is hard to be ‘in’ without updating information every day. Facebook as well as Twitter without dynamism as condemned to disappear.

RELIT itself was a project that was looking for making connections between Peruvian literary agents. One possible, we though, was through the social networks. The idea was to begin from zero and see how much interaction and popularity we could get.

The ‘Page’, not just only post new that we make but only work like literary calendar that also includes selections of articles or debate about Peruvian or Latin American Literatura. Is a kind of ‘feeds reader’ focused on a new public: literature students who use their computers every day.

Guadalupe López, offer us a classification of Facebook pages and groups: 1. Belonging 2. Arts, Entertainment, books and events 3. Actuality and causes. Is really to join any of them. López points out that the Causes Pages have more interactions, but she asks, , “¿Participar es publicar? o ¿Participar es estar, pertenecer?” (López, 1). Under the 2.0 logic, it would be the second option.
